...makes a wonderful gift! Files are in three sizes: 16.5 x 16.5, 13.5 x 13.5 and a travel version, 8 x 8. (With the travel version use map pins and flags or stick pins!) This first game is our pioneer game. You download the files for the board, cards and rules, then you print or have printed the board and cards and supply your own dice, playing pieces and buildings where needed. BE CREATIVE! You can use buttons, pieces of colored cardboard, "snitch" pieces from other popular games or create game pieces from scratch. You can use large wood screws with flat heads, fat drywall screws with flat heads, and even some electrical pieces can be used. Paint them the colors you want them to be and you have your playing pieces and buildings. Even little colored squares of wood work fine. Instructions and suggestions come with the game. Test your skills at buying and selling property, purchasing and selling at the Stock Market! The one with the greatest skills (and luck) is the winner. There is a lot of skill involved because you have choices to make; there is luck because so much depends on the throw of a dice. However, it does provide a new and exciting game that can keep you mesmerized for hours. If you liked Monopoly, a world favorite, you will LOVE Speculate! NOTE: The game comes in two sections which you will have to trim and place together on a background, a board of some type or cardboard, foam board or nothing...your choice. We use shiny card stock to print our games and cards and they last well and feel and look nice. Damage a board? No problem. Print another one! Want more cards, print some more.
